A charming, brand new Alice in Wonderland 8oz, 2 cup & saucer set by Paul Cardew, complete with attractive box.

Perfect as a gift for an Alice in Wonderland fan, or to keep for yourself, for display or everyday use.

The attractive, chunky teacups show Alice swimming about with various creatures. The interiors contain the spiraling words " I wish I hadn't cried so much said Alice, as she swam about trying to find her way out". The matching round saucers have the words, "I'm very tired of swimming about here, O Mouse, O Mouse, do you know the way out of this pool?"

To the rear of each piece there is an amusing Paul Cardew "Alice" backstamp, designed to look like a postage stamp. 

Comes complete with attractive box utilising Mad Hatter's Tea Party and White Rabbit artwork from the same designer.

Size of cups 3.75" diameter x 2.5" deep, (9.5 x 6.5 cm), saucers 6.25" diameter (16cm)
