Magnificent Art Nouveau Gilt Bronze & Enamel Clock by Paul Louchet, Paris c.1900 . Superb Art Nouveau Clock by the renowned French painter and sculptor Paul Louchet. Mottled blue enamel porcelain, mounted on ornate Gilt Bronze with floral decoration, signed to base ‘Louchet Ciseleur’, white clock dial with gold/gilt hour and minute hands, black enamel hour marks, still with its original pendulum weight.  Measures: 25 cm high by 15 cm long by 10,5 cm wide. An absolute most for collectors!

Paul Francois Louchet (1854-1936) worked together with Emile Galle, Daum, Rene Lalique, Argy Rousseau and other notable artists from the Art Nouveau period. He was awarded the Gold Medal at the 1900 Universal Exposition in Paris, as well as the Grand Prix at the St Louis, Liege and Milan Expos. Louchet was appointed Chevalier of the French Legion d’Honneur in 1908.
